TRACK & FIELD - 2000 - INTER-COUNTY EVENTS	Updated 18 June 2003

Under-13 Inter-County Meeting, Kingsmeadow, 30 July 2000

In very fine weather teams from 13 Counties (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Devon, Dorset, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Middlesex, Oxford, Sussex, Wiltshire and hosts Surrey), gathered at Kingsmeadow for the Under 13 age group inter-counties meeting. Organised as usual by Don Turner and with great support from the officials an excellent afternoons athletics took place. There was great enthusiasm with lots of smiling faces. Many National Standards were achieved, including several Grade 1's, to the extent that some grade badges were sold out and orders for postal delivery had to be taken.

The meeting provided separate scoring competitions for boys and girls with two competitors in each event.

Final results were;

Under 13 Boys: Kent 322(3 wins); Hants 322 (2 wins); Middx 315.5; SURREY 314.

Under 13 Girls: SURREY 355.5; Sussex 325; Devon 307; Kent 303.5.

Commemorative plaques were presented to the winners and runners-up in each competition. The probable date for next year is 29 July 2001. If you want to see the future stars in action this meeting is a must.
