| Sat 14th July - Day 3: 800m Women Final - Charlotte Best Charlotte Best finished 5th in a time of 2:02.72). Fri 13th July - Day 2: Pole Vault Men Qualifying - Joe Ive (Belgrave H) suffered a knee injury (hairline fracture of the right patella) on his second attempt at 5.15m. He then made an unsuccessful attempt at 5.25m after which he went to hospital from which he returned on crutches! He is reported to have said "These things happen. I'll be all right!". Thurs 12th July - Day 1: 800m Women Heats - Charlotte Best (Crawley AC) finished second in Heat 3 (of 3) with a time of 2:04.02. This was the 5th fastest time from the heats and qualifies her for Saturday's Final. |
